Default door arm rest removal

I've got an '05 x-type that has a tear in the arm rest of the rear door. In the event that a local shop can't repair it, I'm researching replacing it. Can the arm rest itself be replaced or do you have to replace the entire interior door panel.

Thanks for any help you can give me

The XJ8, XK8 and S-Type armrests are all listed separately but the X-Type doesn't follow the same arrangement. The Parts Manual shows only the complete interior panel for the X-Type rear door.

You can be certain it wasn't made in one piece and the armrest will be screwed or clipped to the main panel but the panel will have to come off to separate them. Doesn't look too difficult a section to recover provided your local shop can source the matching material.
