Hey everybody,

anyone know ehere i can source the tap to open lid for the front cup holder on a stype, the previous owner seems to have worn away the coating and its messy, tried ebay but couldnt find anything?

Hey Graham, if you sit in the driver seat and you left arm sits on the armrest in the centre console, in front of the armrest is a lid which when tapped / pushed down flips up to reveal a cup holder. to close the lid you just push it back down,

this doesnt make a lot of sense does it lol, i may have to get a picture.

Item 10 in the Parts Manual on post #2 is a complete assembly. The lid is not available separately. There's also in five different colour options to match the trim.

I've searched for sources and all the used ones I can find are badly marked.

The specialast UK Jaguar breakers may be able to supply. None that I know of near you on the south coast but you could try JoJags in Liverpool or Eurojag in Darlington.

When Darren first posted this question in November 2012, there was several good used ones listed on eBay in the US and very few available for him in the UK.

Yes. I tried E bay and nothing.

 

What I am looking for is a plastic insert that goes in front of the console that sits inside a felt lined slot to hold two cups. My 2008 jag came to me without this insert. It is $148 new from dealer. I was hoping to obtain a nice used
one for a bit less. Anyone, anywhere can you assist????
