Mk2 ashtray mod
Took the trimmed ashtray lid off my 1968 Mk2 and fashioned a wood one for it with a leaper inlay. Of course it is a bit too dark to match the other 40 year old wood, but something a bit different I thought.

I like those! Hope you don't mind, but I relinked them here. Hey Jagwood, did you see Jvegas's request to find a keychain remote that could be made out of wood? Can it be done? Would you like to try it? I see you perhaps getting into some projects using our checkbooks if you hang around these parts for very long. You're a great addition to this group and you bring niche knowledge with you.

Great, thanks for doing that. I posted a for sale ad for some lapel pins and managed to get the photo in the text, but not this time obyiously. One of these days I will figure it out! It seems more difficult to ad photos straight from the PC drive on this forum than on some other forums.
I've been asked about the key fob remotes before, and to be honest, I don't know if I can do them - small and fiddelythings!I do make the regular Jagkey fobs out of wood and auminuim, but have not had chance to really play with theremote style.
I regularly put bits and pieces on eBay, and my ID (which actually started as my wifes user name) is chap71
Cheers!
