Default new upholstery

I am thinking about replacing the leather seat covers in my 2003 xk8, as they are cracked pretty bad. I found a place that will custom make them for $650.00, but that seems a bit cheap, and I am leery. Has anyone heard of, or had products from: JosephinaCustomTops.

Default Price comparison

The local high-end upholstery man quoted me $1,800 to do 2 Recaro seats - the seating areas, back rest areas and the bolsters, in the matching leather. This is for my 2005 XKR- but I must say that this threads leather repair articles have me at least curious.

UK hides sent me swatches and the exact color match was obtained with one of their offerings from the stock they have of hides from the Connelly Company. They said I may need 2 hides; the leather upholsterer I showed the car to claimed it would only take one. My idea is the leather seating ares and bolsters on my pair of Recaro seats- less the upright parts of the seats but not the bolsters. Anybody know how to tell how many hides or measure the square feet?
