Default wood repair

The 03 XJR I have has some interior issues. Specifically, the wood covering the passenger airbag and driver door trim is badly cracked. What is the deal, is this repairable or better to seek replacements?

Is it hard to remove the airbag panel - it is the worst offender.

Thanks

moved you over here to the interior section Mike (i presume). we've got a couple resident wood experts, hopefully they'll see this and help you out.

What i remember reading, is that there are a few places in the US that refurbishes the wood, basically repairs it and re'clears the wood. Try a search in this section for wood () and see what pops up... I crack myself up.
