Default 3.6 '89 Rebuild - Any suggestions?

I'm getting ready to get my 3.6L engine rebuilt out of my '89 xj6 (xj40). Any suggestions on what I might improve, look out for, etc? I'm not real familiar with Jag engines, but have rebuilt other engines and usually track down something I should keep an eye out for, swap to avoid issues down the road, etc...

I'm not looking to do anything crazy to the engine, just make it as durable as I can and try to do things the right way the first time around. I have the engine and trans pulled out, the intake/exhaust is off...so without going too overboard (more than I already have) now's the time to do some of these things...

Any tips are appreciated!
Pete

I'd do head work while apart. Porting doesn't hurt. Go bigger valves because you know you'll wish you did if you don't lol.
