Default Bad water pump affect supercharger?

I have a bad water pump, not surprising given the tsb regarding it on myb'98 XJR.
My question is this: could that make my supercharger not run?
I just got this car and I want to be sure that I don't have a gimp sc.
I can't hear it spinning when driving, but really can't drive it due to the water pump.
Any thoughts or suggestions, anyone?

answer is no.
I wouldn’t drive with a bad water pump, so better fix that one first, is an easy job. There are aftermarket metal impellers available, but better avoid these, have heard about leaking issues and our coolant doesn’t have additives to protect metal impellers against cavitation. Your supercharger will be turning alright (if it has a belt that is ;-), just wait until you’ve fixed the pump and can go full throttle.

roger that.
just got a tracking number for the pump and thermostat, so here's hoping it all goes well.
