Default Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner

Has anyone used this and want to share their experience?

This is what it is supposted to do:

Cleans fuel injectors

Cleans intake valves and ports

Cleans combustion chambers

Restores lost power and performance

Lowers emissions

Relieves cold start-up problems

Reduces deposit-related engine knocking and pinging

Cleans sulfur deposits from gas gauge sensors

Protects against fuel system sulfur deposits

Protects gas gauge sensors from malfunctioning

Contains PEA chemistry

It can do all those things and more but cannot clean what is not dirty nor fix what is not broken. It's highly unlikely that anything in your engine is dirty enough to affect performance in any measurable way.

Modern fuels already have enough additives to ensure this.

3 vehicles now I've used it in where the float was stuck and it got my gas gauge working again. I strongly support this stuff.

Techron is the "real deal". I know that Hyundai relabels Techron (kicking up the price, naturally) as their OEM fuel injection cleaner.

Fuel injectors are subject to varnish build up, and I add several bottles of Techron with each oil change. It's cheap. Buy it at Costco for a deep discount.
You can argue that current gasolines carry enough additives to keep your injectors clean; and you maybe correct. On the other hand, gasoline quality does vary from wholesaler to wholesaler; and if you are not correct then eventually you will be looking to remove your injectors for individual cleaning.

Cleaning as you go with Techron will not necessarily forever eliminate the need to remove and clean injectors, but it probably will extend the useful life of injectors by a material amount.

I have a friend that is well educated in fuel system cleaners, he told me not only does Chevron Techron work amazingly well, its the only fuel system cleaner that does work at all. So its all I use.

Saved a lot of Corvette owners a lot of grief (me being one of them). Even helped the fuel sensor buildup issue in C5 Corvette gas tanks.

It does not clean the intake valves on the newer Jag engines due the the direct injection system. The fuel no longer flows over the intake valves, but is injected directly into the cylinder. The problem with the new injection setup is carbon builds up on the intake valves and slowly reduces performance and mileage. Sometimes requires the cylinder heads to be removed to clean the intake valves !

Have you seen this first handed on a Jaguar engine? The professional techs that post here say 'no such thing'.

Has anyone seen first handed that it doesn't ever occur on a Jaguar engine?

My tech (actually the Jaguar service manager) said he has only seen a couple Jags that had carbon build up and he sees a lot of Jags! Looks like Jaguar has a better designed engine than most. After seeing Audis with the problem, I was a little concerned! I'm not saying Techron doesn't help our engines (I use Chevron gas), just informing fellow Jag owners what Techron doesn't clean the intake valves in the new engines.
