Default Exhaust manifold coating? - 4.2L 420G

I'm posting this in a few places to get an answer....

The coating on my exhaust headers (1968 420G) is imperfect.
Is there an easy way to recoat them?
Special brush-on or spray paint?
Or must I take them off and do the whole strip-down, and some kind of ceramic coating to get that glossy plated look back again?
Would like to hear what others have tried.
Thanks.

The best way is to remove them and have them ceramic coated.

You will get the best cosmetic finish, and functionally, the ceramic coating (inside and outside) yields the coolest engine bay.

Fortunately, yours are completely exposed and easy to remove.
