I have a 67 420G with the 4.2 triple SU HD8 carbs

I have a service manual but there is absolutely nothing in it about the pedal to throttle linkage shaft or kick down linkage or how to adjust/set this up.

Any help and or links to how this should be set up will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Graham, this certainly covers the kick down cable adjustment. However I am confused with the floor pedal to carb linkages, of which there are many parts and several places to adjust, and the kick down cable is attached to one part of this also, as far as I can see there are no diagrams or descriptions in the service manual at all.

I posted on the general Tech forum hoping to get better coverage as I think that this linkage set up is fairly similar on E types and XJs of this era, possibly other models, but not sure.

I am trying to achieve the correct closed to wot settings for the actual pedal travel and kick down actuation at the right point.
