Dear Sirs:

Bought a used 1996 XJ6 Jaguar about 8 months ago & have had problems with car starting consistently. Sometimes it stays on for 30 seconds & then dies, so I know it's not the battery. Brought it to my local mechanic 3 different times to try to correct the problem, but each time it corrects for a bout a week & then starts all over again. The last time he said he put it through a diagnostic check & it showed the code of the Crank Position Sensor. He changed the Sensor & the problem abated for about a week (as Usual). It then would not stay started for more then 30 seconds without dying. If I do not try to start the car for 5 or 6 days it will stay running, with the check engine light on. I do not have a qualified Jaquar dealer or mechanic anywhere in my area as one closed down about 3 years ago (Lucky Me). I'm at my wits end & am thinking strongly about dumping the car & eating the loss. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

juggler... did you have any luck in getting the car to run.... i have a similar problem
