Has anybody had any luck installing tranny coolers on some of the newer Jags? I'm looking to upgrade my tranny capacity on my 04 Automatic X-Type, AWD.

 

You can just fit a generic unit if you want. I don't know about the X type but my XK8 has one built into the radiator.

 

Thanks viscous. I need to get a good manual so I can look some of this stuff up on my own. Or at least get my car back from the shop so I can look at it!

 

Just poke your head around in the vicinity of the radiator and look for extra hoses going into it, odds are it has one already.

 

If the radiators are around the same dimensions, you could try a swap with an 99-02 S-type trans cooler. Other than that, I think that the X-type shared it's transmission with the Mazda6, so maybe you could cross reference some upgrades. Just some ideas to try. Hope it helps.
