Default water - alcohol injection

Has anyone put a water-alcohol system such as Aqua Mist on their supercharged Jag? Would this upset the ECU? ('05 XKR)

BTW, thanks for all the advise people post here. Info on Jaguars isn't easy to come by. It's not like a Chevy. So again thank you VERY much! This forum is GREAT!

It wouldnt be an issue with the ecu. I run methanol/water 50/50 from devils own on my supercharged 05 frontier(no it didnt come fronm the factory sc'd) and i can tell you from experiance do not run more than 50% methanol and probobly no more than a 3pph nozzle. It will remove the rotor coating

Is that your car in your avatar pic??? I saw that car on ebay a while back... Nothing short of a spectacular looking car. It's everything I would want out of an XKR. Especially the color combo

Hi! Yes, it's the eBay green XKR. It also was listed around the Internet.
I wanted it from first seeing it, but a bit higher than I wanted to spend. So kept considering others. I've ALWAYS liked green British cars back to my Triumph TR6 and Spitfire days (had a red Herald 'vert and a red 4 wheel Berkeley though.) My favorite 928 was the green one. Had an old 3 ton Lincoln Green-Hornet cruiser with green leather interior I was particularly fond off long ago too.

ALMOST got this or that black or silver XKR Coupe here and yon to stay under the $30K level, but really wanted the green one. Anyway, turns out the Mrs. preferred the green one - so "if your going to spend that much you might as well spend a little more to get the one you really want" - so lucky me.

I get some many compliments it goes beyond any other car I had - though those are guys complimenting it. (Women go oogles over her pristine white Austin Mini Cooper with all new red interior. Since hers has AC it also is an all occasion driver.)

I have had the Snow Performance system installed in my car for over 2 years now & love it. They offer a remote resevoir but also give you the option of using the washer resevoir. The Jags with headlamp washers have a 7 liter resevoir & also a built in low fluid level warning. I have a small light mounted on the a pillar next to the boost gauge which shows you when the system is activated as well as a switch in the car to turn it off. The nozzle is mounted app 6" from the throttle body. You will love the increase in power. Be careful in the very cold weather, on a cold day driving on the highway with the system on I saw 22 psi of boost, that was more that I wanted so it was nice to be able to turn the system off. If any of you look at Roadfly you know of Monster who has a highly modified XJR he has also fitted the system & was quite impressed. Good luck with your install.

I found these two: http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/...read.php?t=382
& http://www.aquamist.co.uk/vbulletin/...read.php?t=409.
Maybe you can cross-ref the parts with another system. Hope that helps.
