I am new to this site - and though I have tried in various ways, no where can I find a forum for an 1989 XJ6. Does it exist and if so where and how can I access it.

Hi, Jaguar 1989 XJ6 is known as an XJ40. The name chosen by Jaguar to differentiate from the S1, S11, and S111 older models.

Check into the XJ40 section, the correct place for your car.

This also sent me on further research (since this – the XJ40 designation, was something I did not know or used when looking for parts ) and so discovered all kinds of interesting stuff such as that this model was one of the most tested car at Jaguar “completing 1,240,000 miles (2,000,000 km) million miles in Arizona (summer heat testing), 1,100,000 miles (1,770,000 km) million miles in Canada (winter testing)..”

I had not realized that XJ40s were tested that much in harsh conditions
