Default Jaguar Forums has to many pop ups and is slow

I hate to complain about a free site that has been very useful but it loads slow, has all kinds of advertisements and pop ups. I think in the long run most people will find it difficult to navigate and just not worth the effort.
Whoever runs this may want to look into this. I hope that you take this as constructive criticism.
Thank you

Have you tried an adblocker?

Default Ad Blocker

Ad Blocker slows everything down also. I really think that you need to do something on your end. I have never seen a site with so many ads. You have a great forum. I can only imagine the number of people that feel the same way as me and just use another forum. Your site really has been taken over with ads.
Thank you

A free resource such as this must have some advertising and/or sponsorship to sustain it. Forum owner, Internet Brands, is not a charity.

I accept that adverts from forum Sponsors and Vendors who pay for the privilege are therefore a necessity. Fortunately these are relevant adverts and mostly of interest.

Because I use an Ad Blocker and a Pop Up blocker, I never see the rubbish "targetted" advertising which is supposedly based on my browsing history and almost always has nothing to do with Jaguars. As I write this, my blocker is reporting 15 blocked ads on this page and checking through the list, none of them are remotely connected with Jaguars.

I use another Internet Brands forum devoted to my other car but deliberately don't run Ad Blocker on it as a comparison. I get loads of ads and slow page load there.

The choice is yours.

Graham

Default ads

As I am on this page, I am seeing drug ads, Vitamins, Honda summer sale, a car mega lot in Flint Michigan and some Jaguar ads. I am just saying that you have a problem. I am not seeing this on other sites to this extreme. You can run your site however you see fit. Just thought I would pass on what is a problem as I see it. The choice is yours.

Adblock Plus works well for me. It is the first thing I install in every web browser.
