Default JTIS

New to the Forum and I have seen the term JTIS. Can someone enlighten me on what that is.

It's quite a lot about what you need to know about your car basically.
Think of an elaborated Haynes manual, then add a better step by step guide, better trouble shooting guide, and no oily thumbed pages.

Jaguar Technical Information System - the factory workshop manuals for models between 1995 to 2004. Issued on CD, it is widely available including from the forum as a free download. JTIS has the information relevant to your model.

It was replaced by TOPIx - the current online system. Some information on this is free but most of the technical publications require a subscription which anyone can purchase by the hour, day, week month or year.

To add to this you will need the JTIS and the JEPC.

The JEPC is the parts catalog the dealers use and has exploded parts diagrams that are NOT in the JTIS. Plus both of them are free on this forum and well worth getting installed.
