I am new XJS owner and just recently joined the forum.
Other than my obligatory intro post, I have not posted anything.
I am looking for some minor items for my Jaguar and wanted to post a
WANT AD, but was not able to do so, stating I did not have access.
What's up with that? How do I post my want ad?

FS [For Sale] and WTB [Wanted to Buy] advertisements can only be posted in the PRIVATE For Sale / Trade or Buy Classifieds forum:

At the top there you will find a 'sticky' thread HOW TO Guide for Buyers and Sellers:

One of the restrictions on posting advertisements is members with less than a 5 Post count AND registered on the forum for less than 10 Days are not allowed to post in the Classified sections. This is to prevent anyone joining the forum only to advertise their vehicle or parts for sale.

Only another 8 Days and 3 posts before you can post a WTB [Wanted to Buy] advertisement thread.
