Is it possible to rename a thread you have started?

 

Dunno if that is possible by I for one would welcome it.
Sooo many threads are started with poor/incorrect/misleading/mis-spelled names, sometimes the name is funny but most times it's damn annoying at least for me.
I would have thought that at least a Mod or Admin could PM the originator and have a chat about renaming the thread and then possibly get agreement to rename it, but I can't recall ever seeing a thread renamed so it seems this does not happen.

 

After the post has been submitted, it can be edited within 1 day. That includes the thread title. After 1 day, you will need to contact a Moderator or you can make your request here with your thread title request.

 

I've renamed hundreds of threads over the years. Some simply to correct obvious typos and others at OP's request which is usually received by PM.
