Default Slow Loading using Google Chrome

Chrome is my preferred browser of choice. When I try to access the forum using Chrome, it often loads very slowly. Additionally, I see something downloading when I load the page; in my downloads folder it's just called 'download.'

I often have to open Internet Explorer (which I don't like) and use it to access the forum. I'd rather just use Chrome. I've never had an issue using Chrome on any other webpage...

Any ideas out there what is happening or why my Chrome browser is taking forever to load the pages (sometimes up to 4 or 5 minutes)?

Cheers,

- Will

Will,
Load for me with Chrome is practically instantaneous on a slow 0.5 mbps line.
The first instance of Chrome is notoriously slow to load - try clearing your cache.
Try loading Chrome once, leave it on your 'Home' page then load another instance for JF
If you think something funny is going on download this
TCPmonitor Freeware Utilities
- it will show the IP address and status of all your connections.

I've asked the same question about Firefox.
Site changes in the last two weeks have really bogged load times.

There is still a problem with the simile list as well...

Go to your control panel and select internet options in the browser history select delete and do ok. This will clear all temporary files, history and cookies from the computer. On a side note I use Firefox as my browser it seems to run faster and with fewer hiccups

Default Slow Loading

I'm new to this or any forum and find navigating nigh impossible. Must be a long learning curve for some of ushttps://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_hijack.gif

But hopes springs eternal - I keep trying....

We are aware of slow loading problems. Whilst we as Moderators can't actually do anything about it, we are working and monitoring load speeds and reporting problems to the forum owners IB.

Hopefully things will improve.

If you have a load problem, please report the date and time here.

Try and be a bit more specific than just 'took ages to load'.

Stick with us guys, we are just as frustrated as you, and we will always work with you to try to improve things.

As Richard says,
we are aware and have made IB aware and they are looking into it, to hopefully get some resolution to this issue.

Any feedback is helpful to the cause, but specifics matter, so add any instances here.

Thanks
