Ok, I've been trying to ignore this for a couple of dozen posts now, but it's starting to drive me crazy.Does anyone know why my posts are showing up with quotation marks wherever apostrophes should be? Examples:

it's
let's
car's
Jaguar's

Everything looks fine in the edit window as I'm composing my posts, but as soon as I hit 'OK' to publish the post, it renders all of my single quote apostrophes as double quotes. What's worse is that if I go to edit a message without correcting the double quotes, when I publish the post again, all of the apostrophes get doubled.

Is there a fix for this craziness?

 

let's see if it does it to mine's.It did. weird... a glitch of some sort I guess.

 

It's all about forum software I think ,not a big deal though

 

In England, the apostrophe appears in the upper right corner of the text space. But because this forum is broadcast internationally, the apostrophe also appears on the left hand drive side of the space when the text is supplied to U.S. and ROW markets... thus it is duplicated.Makes it easier to navigate for those of us not in the home country.

So I wonder how many appear in languages where the text is read from right to left?

 

Hi guys, its literally as simple as a problem with the forum software, and its been around for quite some time unfortunately.Try not too worry too much Matt......its been annoying the hell outta the rest of us for ages....just gonna have to deral with it for the time being I'm afraid...either that or just dont ever use apostrophes....lol
The forum sortware is being fixed I'm told, but have absolutely no idea when that will be as thats been the scenario for quite a while.

I kind of like this glitch Jim, lol it has been forcing me to write with more proper English and to use less contractions
