Why isn't there a live chat forum section on here?
I was thinking someone should make a live chat forum section on here so us jag members can chat to each other on various topics etc etc.. instead of just posting up comments and waiting for replies. CAn someone whose a moderator help get it to fruition? We should take a poll and see who would like to have a live chat forum section added on this wonderful jaguarforums.com.
God Bless!

The problem with live chat being used to solve problems: poor advice. If a new member signs up and asks for advice about a certain problem or a new to them car, a member on chat who may have good intentions may mislead the new member.
For instance my battery issue. I could've sworn it was the starter or solenoid. What if someone on chat had told me that indeed it was and I needed a new one at a cost of $300 plus whatever time it takes to install, rather than the $100odd for a new battery and 3 minutes of my time? Mind you I'm not that naive, but there are some people who are. We don't want anyone to be driven away because one person, just trying to help, caused a new (and potentially active member) to leave our forums in digust or even the Jaguar brand.

Glock, back a month or so ago, I was doing some major brain surgery on a fellow members S Type in my garage. The project(s) were started on a friday evening and lasted through sunday, they could "tune in" any time they wanted throughout the weekend. I invited up to 9 people (all free skype would allow). Some members joined in while I wrenched they "yakked" and asked questions. I was able to move my laptop around show different parts and locations. It truely was alot of fun!!!
I will be offering that again when the time arises.
