By any chance would anyone have pictures or info on how I need to remove the tray/storage area in the back seat area of a 1961 Mark IX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The fit on mine is "off" and I'd like to get it right...

jimateo, my comments may not be applicable to the 61 specifically but the best I can do.....I took the interior apart on my 69 420g. the rear trays were held in place into the rear of the front seats by screws at the inside on the sides. I unscrewed these out, and the entire tray assembly slid out. once out, you can work more comfortably taking it apart to each piece. mine does not have any adjustment to the entire piece as a whole into the seat area, as the framing is snug. there is some adjustment you can make (washers, bending hinges) for the tray to flip up into the housing. hope this assists.

I have an issue(s) with the entire tray/storage area behind the seats, not being installed properly. And the trays don't lock in when stored. I think I need to remove the entire ensemble so I can secure it to the back of the bench seat better and then deal with the tray issue...
I was hoping someone out there could send pics and directions if possible.

by friday night i will send you pictures of one of my dismantled tray in the sequence of putting them together. again this may not follow exactly your year, but at least you may have a general idea to follow.

 

I have a 1960 Mark IX, but mine is assembled. Can I take pictures from any angle that could help you or do you need only disassembled views.
