Oil leaks due to oil pressure?
I'm thinking outside of the box on this one because I'm out of ideas. The 3.4 in my Mark VIII has a terrible oil leak. Now I know they are going to leak and will accept a modest puddle but what I am getting for leaks is ridiculous. The main leaks are from the oil feed line going to the head. I have replaced the hard feed line with the new flexible design from XKS. New banjo bolts and copper washers. I've tried the new rubber fitted metal washers with no luck. It puddles at the base where the banjo bolt fits into the side of the block. I'm afraid to tweak the bolts too much going into the head as they are already the longer replacement bolts because of being previously stripped out in the aluminum head.
My oil pressure is at just below 60 psi at cruising speed and never drops below 50 psi. Could i possibly have too much pressure that its blowing past the fitting?

Pressure is good. Fitment on block is a concern of leaks. There is a torque spec for the banjo bolts. Since threads were stripped, they had been overly tightened instead of new copper washers or sealer. You might ask XKs customer service the proper torque for the new lines and since they do a lot of XK rebuilds, ask what they use for a better seal. If torque cannot be met, head will have to be repaired.
