Description:

This is going to auction unless someone wants to take this project on. If the rear bumper of the car in front had been a bit lower, this would have been trivial, but intstead it pushed the radiator support back about an inch and resulted in an insurance write-off. The car was near perfect and has a very nice set of Milanos with good rubber. I also have the full set of Montreals plus two more, and I'll include all of them if I can get this moved this week. You'd need to pick it up in South Austin in the next few days. Easy flatbed load. How about $2000?

Can you post some additional photos, and does it start/run so that it could drive onto a car carrier?

Also, did you ever get a chance to have a body shop verify if the only thing bent was the upper radiator support, versus say the subrame, quarters, etc?

Thanks!

the impact was just above the front bumper in the middle of the grill. Like a throat punch. the quarters aren't pushed back but the radiator support and obviously the bonnet were. It's been sitting a while so the battery is certainly dead. it ran like a scalded cat.

The heads are ported/polished, new shocks up front, everything worked beautifully. I loved this car and kept it tip top. Don't let your 16-year-old daughter drive your favorite car.

Let me know if you decide to part it out.
I'd be interested in the steering wheel, seats, b-pillars, and possibly wheels.

If you're serious about the wheels, give me a call at 512-767-8341. I can swap out the Milanos for the Montreals or sell you a complete set of Montreals that are in storage.

Why not fix it up? Also I'd be interested in one of the 6 Montreal Wheels. I have a set of 4 and could use the spare.

Thanks!

Sorry for your loss. I crashed my xjr 100 2 years ago also.

Are you parting the car?

Good luck, and I hope someone picks it up whole and restores it. If you don't get many more bites, some more high resolution photos of the interior, trunk, underside, etc may help some potential buyers.

Based upon your description it sounds like a pretty easy body panel and minor straightening or welding of the radiator mount repair.

If it were local, I'd consider it.... and of course then be in trouble for buying another project Jaguar

Did you decide to part it out? I need a small item from the supercharger drive belt assembly.
