I love the XKR and every time I drive it I think I will keep it but at the same time want to expand my Corvette collection. Dilemna! 😁
I have purposely avoided the auction sites as judging by the latest XKR sales results mine would surely sell.
When I find the ‘right’ Corvette the XKR will probably end up on BAT or C&B.
It truly is a wonderful car to drive! I have a Mina supercharger pulley, Mina lowering springs and Mina pedals for it that with our relocation I have not gotten around to installing.
I've been stalking and viewing your car for so long. It's perfect for me. Like everything, timing is a killer. I'm only six months into owning an 04 xjr and it's quite an intro into the Jaguar world. Problem is I'm finding the four door experience doesn't really suit me. I guess I need to get off my butt, sell it and make the move to an XK. Your car is certainly inspiring and the positive updates just add to the allure.

Thank you, it certainly is a nice well sorted car.
I purchased another Corvette this weekend so the XKR will probably end up on one of the auction sites as soon as I get around to taking a bunch of photos of it.
This involves a British car therefore the rules of a Monarachy are in play not those of a corporation.
The King makes the ultimate decisions not the Queen! 😉
No kidding, I see a lot of responses to the aftermarket threads and questions about purchases requiring a sign off by the wife. We talk about everything and I believe in transparency, but I also believe in being able to make a decision all by myself or buy something that I have worked my *** to afford.

Amen brother!! I always tell the wife what I’m going to do, listen to her whine and complain and then go ahead and do it. If it was up to her I wouldn’t have my car collection, I work hard too and am not about to let anyone dictate what I will or will not do. Of course I don’t buy cars to the detriment of feeding and housing my family but the cars are a priority. I can always sell them when I have aged to the point I can’t get in and out of them anymore.
Unless you need the money, why sell it now when its KBB value is at its low point? You know you'll regret it and will never find another one as nice again. I still enjoy driving my 2009 XKR Portfolio convertible and its timeless beauty, so for now it's a keeper.

Reason: Corrected typo.

The issue is indoor parking space. With the Corvette purchase this past weekend I now have 9 cars indoors which maxes me out. I actually want yet another Corvette. I currently own a C4 LT4 Collector Edition, a C5 Z06, a C6 Z06 and wish to add a C7 Z06 being it is the last of the ‘proper’ front engine manual trans cars.
I enjoy the XKR when I get around to driving it these days and there are absolutely no issues with it! Unfortunately the XKR is the only car of the 6 non-Corvettes I am willing to part with for various reasons.
A C7 Z06 with 7 spd manual would be a worthy replacement for the XKR for a ‘Corvette guy’.
Yeah, but underneath was a '53 Chevy pickup truck (really!), with kingpins, drum brakes, a steering column with no collapsible section ready to impale the driver, no power steering, no power brakes, no air conditioning ... nothing for safety or comfort. But that was the '50's and is why I decided to sell it.
But it was great fun to drive and with headers and the factory off-road exhaust, the sound was glorious! That's why it took me 42 years to sell it - it was a death trap.
Although this is from a '61, I received the same 45RPM record from GM shortly after my car was delivered.

I tried that and she reminded me that the Queen sits atop the thrown currently. I really tried to make the numbers work. Not a rich man, not poor either, but these purchases, like all of my medical tests, require pre-authorization. Wish it were different though. She's a beauty.
Feel free to store up here. I can accommodate one vehicle at no cost (except shipping)

Appreciate the offer and the compliment on the car!
Just so everyone is aware $22k is my bottom line for the XKR as it sits with all the new stuff and the oem wheels plus the Mina lowering springs, Mina supercharger pulley and the Mina ‘R’ pedals.

GREAT car for $22k. It is fabulous to drive, very smooth, planted and taught.
For the LOW price of $22k not only is the car well sorted and upgraded, the perception of others of this car is always WOW! It looks like a $100k automobile as it is in great shape and of course THE DESIGN!
