Description:
It is with reluctance, but we are putting “Trixie” up for sale. 1971 XJ6, 37,779 original miles, matching numbers, every available option, black with biscuit leather, original floor mats, lots of small parts, any original parts swapped are included, all books/records/documentation from England to current are in a three ring binder, $5,000 or best offer. No trades.
The good:
she runs, stops, steers, new tires, shocks, alternator (original Butec goes with), carbs are rebuilt and have the tags, etc… Watch the video at the end of this.
The “opportunities” aka issues:
I want to be as transparent as possible. The valve covers are leaking (new gaskets included), the tach needs to be swapped (NOS one goes with), fuel gauge works for the right tank but not the left (left tank and sender are brand new, does not read with original one either, thanks Lucas!), the headliner is drooping but is not torn/stained/holy, and a few other odds and ends.
The business:
Vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranties implied or expressed. Clean title in hand, cash, wire, or money order, we cannot deliver or store the car, must be picked up within 72 hours of sale unless we mutually agree upon other arrangements. She will need to be trailered in my opinion just to be sure/safe. We are 2 hours south of St. Louis, 5+ hours south of Chicago, 3 hours north of Nashville, etc…
This is an opportunity to own one of the lowest mileage originals. I treat business and forum members with the upmost respect and will honor all potential buyers “in order” of communication. No scammers, no third parties, and no new members.
Thank you!

Also, the alternator currently on it is a GM 1-wire, no butchering, everything bolted up, and the original Butec is in the trunk.
