Yeah I posted there & sent him a PM, but no response. Thanks for the heads up, though.

You may also try Welsh Enterprises. I bartered a 2000 XK8 coupe with body damage to Dave Welsh. It got wrecked just after I sorted it out. Dave Welsh may sell it. I don't know what he might want for it though.

Thanks but they said they don't sell whole cars, only parts. Shame if it wasn't too bad (hit by a train/head-on?) I might have fixed it...

It was definately repairable. It just made more sense for me to sell it after the insurance settlement.

Default 2001 XK8 Silver hardtop in Chicago

I have a 2001 XK8 that was running great (160k miles). I got a coolant leak. Jaguar dealer says the location of the leak requires the engine to be dropped. On top of that front and rear subframes are badly rusted. Estimate was $15k for those items. I hate to see this sleek car I've loved for 20 years go to just some junkyard. I'd love to see it go to somebody who appreciates it. In the garage now but not being driven until I find it a good home.

Default 2010 XKR for sale

Unfortunately the engine in my 2010 XKR has died due to oil starvation. There is no body damage. There is a fault in I believe the right headlight. Otherwise everything is in good condition. I still owe around $7000, so that is the price I would have to have for it. The car is at my sister's under a car cover, so I don't have current photos of it yet. But I would be happy to send photos upon request.

There are two xk8's in Broken Arrow, OK that I am aware of that the seller is trying to get $1000 each. check out facebook marketplace for Jaguar in Tulsa, OK and you should be able to see it.

Default 2003 XK8-75K miles

10yrs owned, zero engine/trans issues. near perfect interior (droopy headliner). Can't afford the typical rear subframe rust repairs...possibly not repairable.
still drivable VT to GA...
interested?

Sorry that's too far away to make it feasible. I am also curious about the rust, though. Any pics?

How much are you asking? Are the subframe mounting points gone or is the subframe itself rotted out?

Default 2003 XK8

here are pix of rear subframe rust and potential repairability issues.
IMG_1716 shows section of subframe that has rusted completely through
IMG_1711 a side view of subframe attachment to suspension/body
IMG_1707 and 1712 shows rear and front attachments of rear suspension subframe bracket to body
the parts are available new or used....even entire rear axle units! but the repair depends on the removal of parts from the body. If those bolts break or spin or their corresponding body joints fail, repairs would involve removing rear seats, etc and welding in new body parts.
Given the condition of body (some rust on rockers), engine (75k-zero problems ever) and trans (no problems) and interior it could be a "project"...with backup of parting out. My mechanic says it is still safe to drive-so I can deliver it from VT to east coast locations with cheap flights home

What is your asking price? I am just south of Pittsburgh, PA. I think shipping would be $ 500.00 to $ 1,000.00. It looks like a good project.
