Your lack of presence has been noticed by many, myself included.
I did a hail-mary on my xk8 transmission leak and now need to replace it...thought about how long it will take me (doing it myself) and decided to get a Jag 'driver' while working on it. I'm picking up (hopefully nothing goes wrong) a 2007 black xkr north of Houston next week.
Was thinking about buying you lunch but since it is located way up near the woodlands and I'll be on a tight schedule...no time...so no visit.

The password is not within moderator control. We cannot log a member out or force another login - it's entirely controlled by algorithms. The only exception is forum owner (Internet Brands) technical could do this at a global level (if new forum features required logout/login to activate) or individual level (to resolved a reported issue).

This issue is probably a result of which version of the forum you use (full or "lightweight") and your chosen hardware/software combination. Software settings may need adjusting to "trust" this site and not clear associated cookies when you shut down.

I use the full version of the forum on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox browser. I have aggressive AdBlocking installed and clear all cookies with Ccleaner on daily shutdown. I have a number of forum pages saved as my browser home page and these open immediately with Firefox. My username and password are set to autofill so I only need click the login button to be in the forum.

Many thanks for the JSI recommendation Billy, very much appreciated. It's getting difficult to find a good 'old school' tech who can do more than read DTC's and throw parts at the car! I'll certainly give Paul a bell and pick his brains a little and, if JSI is as good as you suggest, it is a small inconvenience to use them once in a while....as I wrote previously, I've got relatives out your way so I'm in Houston quite often.

The forum used to be robust and simple. Recent updates may have brought it more in line with social media style but have done nothing for speed or reliability.

Please give me a link to the thread and the post number where you are having a problem uploading.
