I am totally speechless. Riski has always been a good guy around these parts. May he rest in peace.

Any time something like this happens, it sucks to hear.
But in this case, this forum has lost a great member that contributed a lot.
I don't get on here as much as I should, but when I did, I always watched the STR performance posts to see what Riski had to say. He modded his car and was always ahead of what was going on.
I'll miss his presence here.
RIP

I never had the pleasure of conversing with him but it sounds like I would've been better for it if I had

I'm sorry to hear this sad news.

Default Car Clubs

Yesterday I attended a funeral for a friend of our local Thunderbird SC club, 50yrs old, passed away unexpectedly last Sunday morning in his home.
Then to read this, this morning makes it all the more real even though I never emailed directly to Joe, but often read his contributions and noticed the signature block.
Condolences to friends and family
Pete

This will read like a re-post of pdr1966...last night I too attended the wake of my long time friend's 41 year old daughter-in-law. She pumped gas at a convienient store while her kids were in car, walked inside to pay, slipped on a wet floor, hit the back of her head...never regained conciousness. She left four children and a husband. I just woke up and sat down to read what my fellow Jaguar friends are up to and what!...Our Joe "RISKI" is gone in a car crash? This is almost too profound for me right now. His family is in shock and pain. Please lord, help them. The last thing anyone wants to do is eulagize, but it's incumbent of me to make mention of how Joe "Riski" impacted mine/our lives. Though we shared our insight and experiences on the modification of the Jaguar S-Type R, for whatever reasons I also felt a sense or "air" of competition between us. I even threatened to drive from NY to the Windy City, soley to whip his STR's *** (he likely would have won). Win or lose, I'm certain dinner and many beers together would have healed our wounds. Joe "Riski" kiddingly indicated in a recent thread that he felt I preached on certain subjects, it was all good because it ultimately prodded me to stop, look, listen, and then move forward with insight of ideas hatched by him and/or others here on this good forum. Though it's unfortunate we haven't met Joe "Riski" in person, we certainly met with words a thoughtful, sharing, and often humorous man who lived "Life In The Fast Lane"! At high noon (EST) I'm going to fire up my 03 STR and bark that exhaust in Joe "Riski"s honor...anyone care to join?

Sincere condolences to his family and friends. We all should keep in mind that we never know when it could happen to any of us. Be careful out there....
