Default '65 S-Type Heater

Can you repair/rebuild the coolant control valve?

if you mean the original Heater Servo (valve), not yet, but I'm working on getting them rebuilt with a new diaphragm so don't throw it away!

in the meantime, you can go to CarQuest and order a Normally Closed / Open with Vacuum heater Valve part number CTC-277826 like the one in the picture below. It will do the job fine.

you'll need a hose splicer-reducer and a 2-inch piece of smaller vacuum hose to fit the vacuum port of the new valve; The S type's vacuum hose is 1/4", the CarQuest heater valve uses a 1/8" vacuum hose, that's why you need the splicer-reducer.

you bet Don, take a picture of your heater valve and post it here when you get a chance. The S type is the only Jaguar with that particular Heater valve.
