Default Body styles & rear view mirrors MK 2

I've seen some with 2 side mirrors, some with one driver side & some with no exterior side mirrors. My 62 3.8 has one drivers side rear view mirror. Just curious if the passenger or driver side mirrors were an option or guy's have added or taken them off for whatever reason.
Thanks

In The 50's and 60's, two side view (wing) mirrors were an option, same as a radio and heater. Most vehicles came equipped with just one mirror on the driver's side.

If you Google "history of side view mirrors" there are many articles. Most of them agree with what I said.

most likely they were Lucas motorcycle mirrors!! either on the front fenders if two, or a single one at the driver's door attached to the door or to the ventilator frame.
