Default Boost ratio on brake servo

Hi, I’m fitting hand controls to my Mk 2. I need to minimise my braking effort. I’m thinking of using an uprated servo from SNG Barrett with a boost ratio of about 4:1. Does anyone know what the boost ratio on my original brake servo is so that can compare them?

4 to 1 is about right. The old 2nd type 8" was about 3.7 to 1.

Is that for the original fitment?

The old 8" was about 3.7 to 1. We posted over one another when I edited.

Many thanks Glyn. I hope the extra boost translates to a lighter braking effort!

Check all vacuum lines & terminations to ensure they are in good condition ~ no leaks.
