Default The Famous Jaguar Spiral Washers

I contacted SNG Barrat USA store about the spiral washers used for the two bolts holding the Battery Strap in MK-2, S type, and 420, and here is their reply:

Hello Jose,
The spring washer is part number WS600041J at $0.27 each in stock and I have added a photo of the spring washer below
Thank you,
Frank

Cool Jose, I posted that part number on the Battery thread an hour ago, it's used quite commonly on several areas especially the throttle linkages, designed to give a flexible joint, and should not be squashed tight like a shakeproof washer.

TilleyJon,

I have not seen them anywhere else in my S type. Can you find a picture of that throttle linkage? I don't think I have them.

But I see them used in my 1984 XJ-6.

Actually I think it's on the accelerator linkage rather than the throttle linkage on the carbs, I will dig out the parts over the weekend and post the pics, they are not back on the car yet. I am sure there is one where the accelerator bar that goes through the fire wall joins to the linkage that goes to the carbs, I know I have a few Thackery washers in the box, I am now thinking exactly where they go.

Pedal shaft lever to bell crank lever
Connecting link assembly
Kickdown lever on Auto's
Manual gearbox selector

If you have the parts manual in PDF search this for "double coil spring", you will find all the places that these washers are used
