Default How do I open the trunk?

I just picked up a 1964 Mark 2 and the trunk will not open. It came with one key and it won't turn very far in the trunk key cylinder. I am afraid I'd break the key if I turn any harder. Any suggestions on how I can open the trunk? The car has quite a bit of rust. I'm afraid I have a basket case. Thanks.

spray Wd40 on the key, and into the keyhole, then insert it.

push down on the trunk lid as you try to turn the key.

you need to lube and wiggle the lock until it moves.

Resolved. The WD40 trick worked along with some gentle prying. I have never owned one of these cars, so I did not know how the latching system worked. And. There was not anything interesting (of value) in the trunk......
