Default Improved Mk2 subframe mounts

Greetings -- curious if anyone out there has ever modified (of if any off the shelf exist) the front subframe mounts on a Mk2. With the stock v-mount and sandwich mount being rubber isolated it would seem like this would be a logical place to make improvements in the rigidity of the connection to the unibody. I see plenty of poly bushings available for the suspension pivots but would think the gains from these would be largely diminished given that the entire front suspension is isolated from the car via rubber.

Can you explain how you did this? And after making the connections solid what did you notice in terms of handling, responsiveness, or if there were any increases in vibrations coming through the car?

Before I redid all my suspension I did a lot of reading and found from forums etc. that the SuperFlex bushings are the best option for pivot bushings since they vary density based on different mounting points. Then Metalastic mounts (not the cheaper rubber aftermarket ones) as they create a bit of cushion between the stiff suspension and the body. On my car the sway bars and poly bushings made a huge difference in improved handling and the body still vibrates quite a bit going over rough road even with the Metalastic mounts. Making hard mounts plus poly bushings and sway bars might be a very rough ride. Just my experience though! Defer to those who have hard mounts.

it is done with flat plate bent to the same shape for the rears ones,
and flat plate same size as front with collar/spacer all with same nuts and bolts,
but cant tell you about ride and things as not on road as yet,
and I will have in a 4.2 v8 jag engine with rack steering,
