Or your alignment was slightly off from hitting some potholes and whatnot.

Default new tyres

i changed 2 front tyres with heavy inner wear 18 months ago had wheel alignment done at time and again 12 months later the front tyres still look like new even wear rate, as thermo says before going down the mechanical route try getting alignment checked as i do think these x types are susceptible to damage from potholes

I had years of inner tire wear.
Replaced everything and still had terrible wear.
Turned out to be the strut mount.
Replace the strut bearing at the same time if this turns out to be the cause.
I also had 2 cheap aftermarket bearings fail within 6 months.
Im about to replace another with a genuine jag unit

Cool, thx for the input.
No shortage of bumps hit, judging by the 3 curb damage rims that came with the car and the amount we have hit(bumps not curbs).

All 4 of my rims/tires are towed in at the top, close to an inch.
Nothing I have done, just age and use. Is that normal tow or close?

iownme, did you replace the strut mounts and bearings yourself?

I'm having pretty bad inner wear on the front tires and I replaced the struts about 2 years ago, but like a dummy, didn't replace the mounts and bearings. I got a quote today for 8-9 hours of labor to do this from a shop. The parts that I've found aren't too expensive but that labor charge is a killer.

You will need a 2nd person and an 8' or longer pry bar to lower the control arm down low enough to slip the strut back in.
Other than that it is all doable by one person.
Each side took roughly an hour.
I have gone through several cheap bearings so now i only use original parts, replace the strut mount at the same time, again, dont use cheap aftermarket, quality difference is night and day different.
Im about to replace my remaining aftrrmarket as its now clunking and killing inner tire.
