Hello everyone.


Hope you can help. I can not lock the rear doors of my Jaguar 240?


If you push the interior door handle to the lock position from inside the car when the door is closed you can still open the door using the outside push button?


If you push the interior handle to the lock position with the door open and then try to close the door the lock will not engage and the door opens freely without needing to use the outside push buttons?


Both rear doors are the same so am I missing some simple way to lock the back doors?

Only way ahead on this is to remove the door trim panels and inspect to see what is happening.
