excuse the interruption but I have to ask:

why is a replacement Air Rail for a 1984 XJ-6 so expensive? It's just a pipe with 6 nipples welded to it. I guess I'll have to clean mine with vinegar. $209.00 is simply absurd.

What part number are you referring to? Chances are it is not something we manufacture ourselves, so it will be a factory original part and unfortunately the factory price...

As suspected this is not an item we or any aftermarket supplier produces. Thus the price retail and wholesale is set by Jaguar.
