Welcome to the forum Jeff,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. Click on the link and you will find parts and service manuals there in pdf form.

Unless the old braded cloth wiring is really dirty, you should be able to match up the colour codes on the wires to simply connect the bullet connectors.
Mine used braded cloth and some plastic.

At any rate with the wring diagram, and some continuity testing with a multi meter, you should be able to get the job done.
It's pretty simple compared to a modern day car.

I think the column should be the same as an S Type. See Hi Res pdf. attached. Much easier to follow than B&W manual. Credit ~ Jaguar S Type Register.

If you bought the switch from SNG Barratt, ask them if they have a wiring diagram. Sometimes the new switches have different color wires and they have the key.
