Default Radio and rear de-frost

This small yet odd problem doesn't bother me, but does anyone else lose their radio signal when you push the rear de-froster on? It's strange how weak the signal gets and goes static.

Was wondering if anyone has come across this before.

Yeah, it's "X-Typical". The radio antenna is very cleverly built into the rear window.

Yes; this topic was brought up awhile ago. On my vehicle, I don't loose the signal. I know that some owners reported that they receive static when using the rear window defroster and FM. "You gotta love your Jag."

You can get rid of the interference by adding a noise filter to the rear defroster wire. This will cut down the amount of oscillation in the voltage going to the rear defroster, which will reduce the interference that it is causing. You can pick up an noise filter at some car stereo stores or at places like Radio Shack. Wiring them up is pretty straight forward. Just need to make sure you get the correct wire for the rear defroster.
