Yes ~ They are very quiet as long as you don't spin them too fast & they certainly move air. Mercedes being Mercedes don't want noisy fans. Mine are very quiet. You are never aware of them inside the car. On a very hot day mine sometimes really take off to kill heat soak once parked. It always feels strange that the car carries on doing things after you've left it like lighting off delay, mirror fold back etc.etc. You can set all those toys in the "Convenience Menu"
