Welcome to the forums Chrisp966,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

When looking for a supply source, a hint regarding your location in the World is relevant. Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

I'm not familiar with that distributor, I always thought that Jaguar's of that era used only Lucas and if I go to any Jaguar parts supplier, that model does not show up.

I did a search though and this came up.

Default Distributor cap

Hi I had the same problem and can find the Beru VK 102 model but not the dz.. I did get this car from Australia a few years back so that may be why I can’t source one in the Uk

Others will know better then me, but I would say it's aftermarket.
Other males like Mercedes, BMW, Volvo etc, would have probably used it.
Anything with a 6 cylinder if the same era would probably work and you may be able to cross reference it.

The second link is from Rock Auto in the US, they ship worldwide.

Is it the right one ?

This must be for the 123 Distributor.

Where are you based, Chrisp996? If in the UK (or elsewhere, of course), SNGB sell these in both red and black:
