Does anyone know if the owners operating and maintenance handbook is the same for UK and North American market cars? I'm referring to the small handbook for the glove box, not the shop manual. My US spec. car does not have one and I would like to pick up an authentic copy. Seems that most of the authentic (ie used but nice condition) handbooks on Ebay are from the UK. I would rather not get a reproduction unless you think they are exact copies. My only concern with sourcing one from the UK would be the obvious RHD vs. LHD. I'm not saying that I couldn't figure out where the brake pedal is located but I would like to have the correct version to keep it all correct. Thanks!
To my knowledge they were all the same right down to controls & even showed dash for both LHD & RHD.
Like the S Type early versions did not show the gear change pattern for both Moss & Jaguar all sync gearboxes. i.e. Reverse left & up (Moss) vs left & down (Jaguar). They obviously only showed Moss.
Jaguar did not duplicate things unnecessarily. They changed again when 240 & 340 were launched.

I think even ones shipped with cars to Germany are a mix of RHD and maybe LHD illustrations. So in my opinion there are no specifically LHD Owner's Handbooks for cars shipped to USA or Canada.
Example: I have a 1957 LHD MK-8 Owner's Handbook complete with "USA Approved Service Stations" addendum booklet and the printed photographs inside the Handbook are all from a RHD car. (not illustrations but b & w photographs), Confusing because certain parts are located in opposite sides, so some adjustments might need to be mentally reversed. Not to mention that apparently the Owner's Handbook was an option, i.e., you had to pay for it back in 1957.
My '65 S type Owner's Handbook is the same way, it is after all, just a guide for operating the car.
in my website I have a MK-2 Factory Service Manual, (free download in .PDF format), which has the Owner's Handbook under the "Operating Instructions" section.
you can make your own handbook by printing all the needed pages.
