If you go to the E type register in this forum there is a post labelled salvaged parts
I have identified that it is MK1 LHD saloon woodwork which is extremely rare.
The wood and to some degree the veneer is in good order and looks restorable.
Go for it
Cheers
Thanks Bill. I did not even look at it. So no lousy Solexes. You could eat me for breakfast on Mk1's. Never owned one, never worked on one. All I know about Mk1's is from reading. You are a specialist on them.
Mk1 non SE Dash.

Can't stand the aesthetics with the narrow rear axle apart from maybe with full spats:
Love them fitted with the wider axle: (enjoy this car with racing laced wires ~ also like what's parked next to it ).

A specialist is a drip under pressure.
I have never seen one of these MK1 "poverty models" with no tacho but am aware they existed.
I doubt that any made it to Australia, but I may be wrong.
The weird thing is that MK1 restorations are really taking off in Australia and their value is approaching MK2s.
Twenty years ago you could get them for peanuts. The most I ever paid for a MK1 was A$3K and that was a modified from automatic car with a 3.8 engine and MOD gearbox.
My current MK1 2.4 cost A$1200 about 15 years ago and it was driveable but rough as.
Its current valuation by Shannon's who are a major insurance and auctioneer of old cars is A$20K.
If that wood was in Australia I would have bought it immediately.
