Most people I know do not use the otter switch anymore.
But a switch under the dash to enable the choke, so you can switch it of when needed.
Most times it otter will switch off to early.
A cunning place to hide the manual switch which jaguar38s is advocating is a push off/ pull on switch just above the bonnet release knob.
That is a solid bracket, there is plenty of room and saves drilling holes in dash panels or the under dash panels

I am familiar with that bracket, great idea for Right Hand Drive cars, but in Left Hand Drive cars, the bracket remained in the Right Hand Drive position, so to open the bonnet you have to stretch yourself sideways to reach the pull knob.
To put the Choke switch in the same bracket on a Left Hand Drive car would be dangerous trying to turn off the ASC while driving.
I am looking for a medium-sized pull/push switch that reads "CHOKE" with a cream knob. I'll find a spot for it in my LHD S type.
When I did my choke over ride switch I bought a second rear window heater switch, fitted this just above the original rear window heater switch and then had a new backing sign made with choke on it. Once wired up the light on the switch works when the choke is on and it looks period being a genuine Jaguar part.
