Default MK2 PS Drag Link End?

Have a good bit of play in the steering and thankfully the Burman steering box I have does not leak (yet!) or seem to be the source of the looseness.

Found the Drivers Side Drag Link End with a lot of play in it. Jaguar part number C29095 and SNG Barratt shows the number but no stock.

Any suggestions? Looks like it might be only rebuildable using your old core?

This what I am looking for;

Passenger side appears to be OK but should I replace both at the same time?
The tie rods look good.

Yes the joint where that is attached is moving around and the steering box is pretty solid.

The tie rod ends don't have any play.

It's odd that there are grease fittings on most moving joints but none on the drag link ends?
Maybe no room for one?

you can get them new, it takes a machine shop to press them out and in.

yes but aren't they out of stock? they only have a rebuilt set.

I know where they sell a modern replacement and improved link but I refuse to post the business name in public.

I used them in my S type and they did improve the steering action especially when parking the car.

if anyone wants to order them, contact me by pm.

Thanks for the pin part number. Since I have not worked on these before I wanted to use the rebuilt versions. The manual don't show how that pin is pressed into the drag link end. I have a 20T press so no problem pressing if that's all that's needed.

I wonder if SNG Barratt uses the improved PTFE bushing when they rebuild the drag link ends?

Yes SNG currently shows them in stock on their website.
