A few more pics. In that pic of the motor what is that square box between the battery and intake of air cleaner. I need to get a shop manual i can't remember seeing anything like that on other cars. It's been over 20 years since I looked under the hood of a British car.

The square box is the wiper motor...

It sure looks like a 3.8. It's got the old style cam covers. I very seriously doubt that came out of an XJ6
