I have been reading here for a while. Of particular interest to me has been the resto mod cars being built on here. I have been wanting a MK 2 for a long time now and finally taken the plunge and bought one. Can you believe what the delivery driver did to mine whilst getting it off the trailer this morning!!!!!

Welcome to the fold. I also finally took the plunge this summer after lusting for a Mark 2 for many years. Although I'm reasonably competent turning a wrench, the Jaguar has brought a new set of lessons and challenges to figure out, and for me that's been a good thing. This group has been a great resource.

Very sorry to see the picture of the transport incident. Hope their insurance will put you whole.

I used Enclosedvehicletransport.com. They subcontracted the job to A & S trucking of Holiday. They started off telling me how easy it would be to claim, but as soon as I had paid the remaining bill, they changed their story and now they have a get out clause for 'Not being held responsible for damage whilst loading and unloading non running vehicles'.

This is the second time I have used Enclosed, but I won't use them again.

Ouch!

Sorry to see you're not off to a great start, lets hope it goes a lot better from here on.

What resto mod plans did you have in mind?
