Angry oil leak

i recently had gear box replaced on my 1966 mark 2. I now have oil leaking like a faucet when engine is on and immediately stops leaking when engine is turned off. Any ideas? there is also a rattling noise in idle position that goes away when clutch pedal is pressed. Noise still present, though not as pronounced, in first gear. any diagnostic suggestions or solutions?

Some layshaft rattle at idle clutch out, is common with these gearboxes even with new bearings etc. Where is the oil leaking from? Front of gearbox/bellhousing, rear of GB? Is the car OD?. GB has pressure oil feed or if with OD it uses the OD pump to circulate oil.

Is it leaking engine oil or gear oil? Gear oil will have a strong sulfurous smell.
