Default Oil leak from under power steering reservoir

Dear All,
I have an oil leak from under the PAS oil reservoir. It’s not so much but I’d still like to solve.
I thought it was from the joint between the reservoir itself and the cast Aluminium inlet/outlet connections on its underside. So I sealed this joint using a new gasket and assembled with a sealing compound. Both hoses from the bottom of the reservoir (1 to pump and 1 to steering box) were wet with oil on the outside, particularly the hose down to the box. I replaced the latter hose and all jubilee clips. After reinstalling in the car, the leak remains.
Now I have removed the reservoir again and checked that there is no leak at the mentioned joint. The hoses were wet again with oil on the outside.
I have the impression that the hoses are porous to PAS oil. Is this a known effect?
Looking forward to help…

I have dealt with this issue, and it could be that your hose has become porous. If so, it would likely be wet all over. My problem was the o-rings that the nipples seal against- I had nicked one when reassembling. I measured them with a caliper and went to my hardware store to find them. There is also an online store called "the o-ring store." It's all they sell. For my return line I got a length of hydraulic hose from my local Farm supply. It seems to be holding up well.
